I believe in healing, and strive to create a space for you to share and be heard! I understand, from experience, that life can be filled with struggles that you must overcome. As a south Asian who grew up in India and migrated to America, I understand the complexities of adapting to new cultures while holding onto the core values that form integral parts of our identities. From my experiences, I understand how to create an authentic, therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. I believe in a humanistic approach for mental, physical and emotional health. My approach is person centered, cognitive behavioral and mindfulness based.
I have advanced degrees in psychology from abroad and New York, which has given me a well-rounded education and a wide range of experience. For seven years, I have worked, internationally, in psychotherapy with individuals from diverse ethnic and sociocultural backgrounds. I have worked with kids, as a school counselor, and adults in individual, couple and group settings. I have experience working with trauma and anxiety, depression, relationship issues, break up/divorce, family conflicts and many more challenges.
I aim to cultivate an environment where you feel empowered to delve into and comprehend your thoughts and emotions. With my multicultural and multilingual background, I bring a heightened sensitivity to the diverse needs within communities, allowing me to provide personalized psychotherapeutic interventions.
I want to work side by side with my clients to help them make positive changes in their lives and reach their goals, both personally and professionally. Together, we can tackle any issues you are facing, emotionally or psychologically, and find new ways to connect with yourself and others. I customize my approach to fit each person's unique needs, as everyone is individual. I celebrate seeing my clients discover their own strengths, make positive changes, and start living their best lives!
