I believe the most profound potential for change emerges when a client feels genuinely seen and encouraged by their therapist. My practice is built on a foundation of authenticity, creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you and your family can be yourselves without reservation. Establishing a strong, trusting connection is not just part of the process—it is the crucial starting point for all growth and healing.
My approach is deeply rooted in Neuro-affirming and Strength-Based principles. I reject the idea of "fixing" a child and instead focus on celebrating their unique self. This means discovering how your child expresses their individual strengths and challenges, and fostering a sense of pride in their individuality. We work together to understand their specific wiring and build on their innate capabilities.
With over 20 years of experience as a School Psychologist, I offer specialized insight into the educational landscape. My background allows me to effectively guide and support clients and families navigating the often-complex difficulties and frustrations related to school. From academic challenges to social dynamics and special education needs, I can help bridge the gap between home and school.
Underlying all my work is the firm belief that all behavior has a purpose. Whether you and / or your child / teen find yourself acting out, shutting down, or struggling to focus, those actions are a powerful form of communication. We won't just focus on managing the surface-level issues. Instead, we'll explore the real meaning behind these behaviors and address the underlying need. My goal is to empower you and your family to move forward with greater self-understanding, confidence, and a more authentic connection to yourself and others.

I have over 25 years experience working with children, adolescents and families within the school system as a school psychologist. In this role, I have learned the ways in which we are able to best support students and their families navigate academic, behavioral and social challenges. As a mental Health Counselor, I am able to apply my background and understanding of school systems to help you navigate similar challenges, as well as delving deeper to support you and your family’s unique needs.
