I believe that good mental health begins with understanding where you came from, what shaped you, who you are today, and who you want to become. My goal is to create a warm and attuned space where you feel safe to explore your story, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward emotional clarity and peace.
My counseling style is grounded in trauma informed care, attachment based work, and a humanistic approach that honors your values and the future you envision for yourself. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as part of my formal training, along with narrative, mindfulness, and somatic based techniques that help you understand how past experiences influence present patterns. I am especially interested in the neuroplasticity of the brain and the way new emotional and relational pathways can be formed through insight and intentional practice.
I strongly believe that change is possible at every stage of life and that your experiences and challenges can be transformed into sources of strength.
My personal journey also informs my work. Being diagnosed and treated for ADHD in adulthood helped me understand how invisible struggles can affect self worth, relationships, and identity. This gives me a compassionate lens for clients who feel misunderstood or overwhelmed by their inner world.
I am completing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and training under licensed supervision at Jacqueline Baer Mental Health Counseling Services. I am committed to walking alongside each client with warmth, steadiness, and hope as they move toward healing and emotional well being.
Through my graduate training, I have gained experience in supervised, simulated counseling sessions with an emphasis on the following approaches:
Individual counseling
Child and adolescent counseling
Couples counseling
Family counseling
Play based interventions (in training)
Strengths based counseling
Faith integrated counseling
