My person-centered approach is built on a foundation of appreciation for your unique journey and innate wisdom. I empower you to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, meet your life goals, and cultivate healthy relationships by harnessing the brain's remarkable capacity for change. Collaboratively, we will integrate practical strategies like cognitive restructuring, role playing, and mindfulness, empowering you to actively reshape unhealthy habits, confidently meet new challenges, and build a path toward greater resilience and satisfaction with your life.
Understanding what makes people tick has always fascinated me. I’m endlessly curious about people’s motivations, strengths, and life stories. Part of the human experience is that some chapters in those stories are painful. By creating a safe and non-judgmental environment, I can empower you to relieve yourself of the burdens you carry and cultivate lasting transformation.
After a 20-year career in nature conservation, I pivoted to the “helping” professions. Coming from a family of psychologists and social workers, the turn to counseling came as a natural choice. As someone who has benefited from therapy to overcome challenges in my own life, I want to offer others the same opportunity for relief and the hope that things can get better.
