Our Westchester office is at 55 South Broadway in Tarrytown, on the second floor, in the village near the Tarrytown Metro-North station. We see clients from Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, Irvington, Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley, Hastings-on-Hudson, Elmsford and White Plains.
If you have been meaning to start therapy and have not found the right place, this is a simple place to begin. Call (631) 292-0048. We will talk through what is going on, answer your questions about cost and insurance, and match you with a clinician who fits. There is no pressure to book anything on that first call.
Tarrytown clients have access to the whole practice. You can meet in person at our South Broadway office, or by secure telehealth with any of our clinicians, including our licensed therapists.
Our in-person clinicians in Tarrytown are mental health counseling interns. They work under the supervision of licensed clinicians in the practice, led by Dr. Jacqueline Baer, LMHC-D, NCC, past president of the New York Mental Health Counseling Association.
Not sure which is right for you? Tell us on the phone and we will help you choose.

Anxiety and stress. The worry that will not switch off, the tightness before work, the mind that starts running at eleven at night. This is the most common reason people call us.
Trauma and PTSD. Something happened, and it still shapes how you sleep, who you trust and what you avoid. We go at your pace, and you never have to retell more than you want to.
Grief and loss. A death, a diagnosis, a marriage, a version of your life that did not happen. Grief does not run on anyone's schedule.
Depression and low mood. When getting through the day takes everything you have and nothing feels like it used to.
Couples and relationships. The same argument on repeat, distance that crept in, betrayal, or a decision about whether to stay.
Life transitions. Divorce, a career change, an empty nest, retirement, becoming a parent. Change is hard even when you chose it.
Substance use and recovery. Support for people working on their drinking or drug use, and for the families around them.
Adoption and foster care. A particular focus of the practice. See below.
Adoptive and foster families are often told their situation is just like any other family's. It is not. Generic advice from a therapist who has not worked in this area is its own kind of exhausting.
Dr. Jacqueline Baer completed the National Adoption Competency Mental Health Training through the Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.). Adoption and foster care are a long-standing focus of the practice, and Dr. Baer works with adoptive and foster families herself. We support attachment and bonding after placement, talking with children about their adoption story, the move from foster care to permanency, identity questions in transracial adoption, and the burnout adoptive and foster parents rarely feel allowed to name.
Very few practices in Westchester offer this. If it is what you have been looking for, it is worth the call.
Much of Westchester's therapy market is private pay. We are not, and for many families that is the difference between starting therapy and putting it off another year.
We are in network with more than twenty plans, including the New York State Empire Plan, 1199SEIU, Aetna, Cigna and Evernorth, Optum, Oxford, UnitedHealthcare and UMR, Empire BlueCross BlueShield, EmblemHealth, Oscar, Northwell Direct, MagnaCare, Carelon Behavioral Health, Medicare and Healthfirst Medicaid. Out-of-network clients get the paperwork they need for reimbursement.
If you are a New York State employee or a 1199SEIU member, there is a good chance you are already covered here.
Not sure what your plan covers? Call (631) 292-0048 and we will check before your first session, so there are no surprises. See the full insurance list
